Founder DB ("Founder DB," "we," "us," or "our") operates founderdb.co, a launch intelligence and outreach platform for founders, builders, and growth teams. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Account information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, subscription status, and account preferences.
Launch and public business data
We collect and organize publicly available information about product launches, founders, companies, websites, and related contact details from public sources. This data powers search, enrichment, and export features within the Service.
Outreach and CRM data
If you use outreach features, we store the contacts, sequences, templates, pipeline stages, send history, and configuration you create or import into your account.
Gmail connection data
If you choose to connect a Gmail account for outreach, we access Google user data only after you grant permission through Google OAuth. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Your Google account email address
- Ability to send email on your behalf through Gmail
- Read-only access to Gmail metadata and message content needed to detect replies and thread outreach conversations
- OAuth tokens (access and refresh tokens) required to maintain the connection
We request only the Google OAuth scopes required to provide the connected Gmail features you enable. We do not use Gmail data to serve advertisements, and we do not sell Gmail data to third parties.
Usage and technical data
We automatically collect standard log and device information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, and error diagnostics to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and manage subscriptions
- Send outreach emails you configure and track replies when Gmail is connected
- Store encrypted Gmail OAuth credentials needed to send mail and poll for replies
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With infrastructure providers that help us host and operate the Service (for example, cloud hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Founder DB, our users, or the public
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information
Email you send through connected Gmail accounts is delivered to your recipients through Google's Gmail service. Inbound email routing you configure may pass through third-party infrastructure you choose (for example, Cloudflare Email Routing).
4. Data Retention
We retain account and outreach data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Gmail OAuth tokens are retained while your Gmail connection remains active so we can send mail and check for replies on your behalf. You may disconnect Gmail or delete your account to stop further use of connected Google data.
We may retain limited records as required for security, billing, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
5. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption for sensitive credentials such as Gmail OAuth tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Google account access: You can revoke Founder DB's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions page or by disconnecting Gmail inside the Service.
- Founder opt-out: If you are a founder listed in our public database and want your information removed, use our opt-out page.
- Account deletion: Contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information.
7. International Users
Founder DB is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
